How much beef should I buy? Depends on family size. An average family of 4, who eat beef approx. 3 times per week will find a 1/4 adequate for the year. A family of 4, with older children who BBQ alot will probably want a side. Still unsure? We can help.

If I buy a 1/4 can I get the hind quater with all steaks? When buying a 1/4, you get a 1/4 of the whole side. Within that 1/4 you can customize if you want as many steak as possible and no roast, or all hamburger and no stew meat etc.

How long is the meat good in the freezer? The meat is all double wrapped so it won't freezer burn and is good for a year or more.

What does 'hanging weight' mean? Hanging weight is the weight of the side before it has been cut. There will be some loss due to deboning.
